What is most noticeable when one first examines this gorgeous Proof coin is its thick mint luster on the devices -- it creates a beautiful cameo effect from one side to the other unimpeded by noticeable scuffs in the frost and unscathed by even a hint of problems. 1897 Barber Half Dollar. NGC graded Proof 65 Ultra Cameo. A magnificent blast white Ultra Cameo gem. Pleasant, almost cheery silver brilliance, a coin that displays lots of fresh watery surface on both sides. Having that in mind for the fields, we see as well a full, bold transfer from die to planchet notable in the extremely frosted (hence "ultra cameo") device on both sides.
